Search Strategies

EBA directs our attention to a select group of clients and a limited number of highly-focused searches. Our objective is to create a search strategy that is appropriate to the specific position and to the needs of our client. CONTINGENCY SEARCH
A contingency search authorizes our recruiters to work on open-ended job orders. In effect, clients use EBA as their "eyes and ears" in the marketplace for specific on-going staffing needs. Contingency searches may also be used with new clients during the developmental stage of our relationship as a way to evaluate and establish mutual compatibility.

The contingency fee is based on a fixed percentage of a candidate's estimated first year's salary. This fee is paid only if and when a position is filled through our efforts.

RETAINER SEARCH
A retainer search offers qualified clients an opportunity to obtain our dedicated services for a specific, highly-focused search. This strategy allows us to focus more resources on a specific search and is particularly effective in searches that include: senior level executives, unique skill requirements and critical hiring deadlines.

The retainer fee is based on a fixed percentage of a candidate's estimated first year's salary. The fee is paid in full at the commencement of the search or in pre-determined installments (i.e., partial retainer). Partial retainer searches are used for extremely challenging searches and exploratory searches. In many cases, the partial retainer search allows us to help our clients define the market and job description parameters of a newly created position with a limited client investment.

EXCLUSIVE CONTINGENCY SEARCH
The exclusive contingency search combines elements of both a contingency search and a retainer search, resulting in a focused effort with no financial commitment. This strategy is based on the client authorizing EBA as the "exclusive" search agent to fill a specific position within a pre-determined time period. The exclusive contingency search is used most often for clearly defined searches for established positions, with time-specific hiring deadlines.

The exclusive contingency fee is based on a fixed percentage of a candidate's estimated first year salary. This fee is paid only if and when the position is filled.
